November 18 – December 31 | Holiday Food Drive: Every year, we provide a means for people to help out fellow San Diegans in need. We’ll have collection bins in our tasting room where generous folks can drop off items for the San Diego Food Bank. As added incentive, patrons who bring in 25 pounds of provisions from the Food Bank’s most-needed items list, will be entitled to a $1 half-pour of one of the following extremely rare beers: The Butcher Imperial Stout (BATCH 01 from 2012!), The Savage Feral Dark Ale with Cherries (named among Wine Enthusiast‘s Best of the Year in 2017) or The Thief Feral Ale with Locally Grown Grenache Blanc (a 2018 World Beer Cup gold-medal winner!). Those are some top-shelf motivators that we hope will make it as fun as it is noble to help out our neighbors in need.
Thursday, December 13, 5:30-8:30 p.m. | Two Scientists Walk Into A Bar: Two bona-fide scientists will post up in our tasting room ready, willing and able to answer any and all questions customers have about their fields of expertise. Whether its the space-time continuum or some other heady material, they’ll have you covered. It’s all part of Fleet Science Center‘s Two Scientists Walk Into a Bar, which is celebrating a half-decade of educating and enlightening this year!
Saturday, December 15, 12-5 p.m. | Holiday Market: Being a small business ourselves, we like to celebrate other local small businesses by having them over to present their illustrious wares to our customers. Usually we do that in our tasting room, but this year we’re clearing out our parking lot to have an unprecedented number of local vendors on-site. If you purchase any of their assorted goods, we’ll take a dollar off every full pour of our liquid goods you purchase in our tasting room. Additionally, we’ll have some of our charity partners out to connect with shoppers and provide info on the good they do in our community. It should be a fun opportunity to tie a bow on your holiday shopping efforts…or just enjoy a day of treating yourself! Our confirmed list of vendors and charities includes: Holmes & Watson, The Akazi Project, La Buena Vida Studio, Sparkly Scribes, CRAFT BEERD, Movimiento Xicano, Street Blooms, HopHeart, DoggieBeerBones, Play Things with Peggy, Rossel & Company, Stick On Arts, Mac & Mia, Kotopery, Pink Boots Society, Pints For Prostates, Beer to the Rescue, Lupus Foundation of Southern California, American Cancer Society and Mastiff Sausage Co. Additionally, we’ll have a crochet workshop from 1 to 2 p.m., and a visit from the big guy himself, Santa Claus, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Sunday, December 16 | Closing Early: We will shut down our tasting room at 5 p.m. so that we can use it for our staff holiday party.
Sunday, November 23 | Crafts & Brews: There’s nothing like the feeling of crafting something with your own two hands, and that’s not limited to beer. Come to our tasting room and participate in this artisanal session, building your very own six-pack carrier or, should you choose, nail-and-string art. Tickets are available online.
Monday, December 24 | Closing Early: In order to give our Societe family time with their biological and maritally-inherited family on Christmas Eve, we will close our tasting room at 5 p.m. Please note that 4 to 5 p.m., we be reserved exclusively for crowler and growler fills.
Tuesday, December 25 | Closed for Christmas: We like presents as much as the next guy…and we like giving our staff time to enjoy with their families and friends even more. Therefore, we will be closed in observance of Christmas, but will reopen the following day, ready to serve you beer that goes really nice with whatever new clothes and gadgets Santa left under your tree!
Monday, December 31 | Closing Early: New Year’s Eve is a big deal and we wouldn’t want the clock to strike midnight without Societe beer in our fans’ hands, so, while we’ll close at 7 p.m. (last call will be at 6:30 p.m.), we will fill all the crowlers and growlers you require for year-end/year-beginning merriment!
Tuesday, January 1 | Closed: December 31 is going to be a rager…we just know it. So we will be closed on New Year’s Day, but open and ready for you come January 2, so you can get down to breaking all your resolutions in style!
